"Tôi đã bỏ nó ở đâu nhỉ?" Bà hỏi. Khi không có mắt kính, bà sẽ không tìm thấy
cặp mắt kính đâu cả.

Thường mắt kính của bà ở trong nhà vệ sinh, trên giường hay là trên đầu của
bà.
"Bà ơi", tôi reo lên " Nó đang ở trên đầu của bà kìa!"

"Đúng rồi! Bà thật là ngớ ngẩn. Cảm ơn con Richa," bà cười và nói. Lần này thi
tôi không tìm thấy mắt kính của bà.

Tôi đã tìm khắp nơi. Ở những nơi bà thường để mắt kính. Trên đầu, ở trong
nhà vệ sinh, ở trong tủ, và trên cái kệ. Tôi đã nhìn ở dưới cái ghế bà yêu thích
và trên bàn ăn.
Không có. Không có mắt kính. Nó ở đâu vậy?

Tôi sẽ làm một thám tử tài ba. Tôi định là tôi sẽ tìm hiểu bà đã làm gì cả ngày.

"Tôi đã không làm gi nhiều hết. Trư
khi mẹ chồng của Veena tới. Và tám
chuyện! Chúng tôi đã uống rất nhiều
trà . Và cô ấy đã ăn hết cái laddoos
của mẹ con làm," Bà nói.

Cái mắt kính được bọc trong cái
cuộn len, kế bên cây viết , và ở dưới
cái điện thoại, trên cái bàn. Và một
nữa laddoo ở đó luôn. Cho sinh nhật
năm sau của bà , tôi sẽ để dành tiền
để mua cho bà cặp mắt kính dự
phòng!
